About Me

Hi — I’m Dan Roque, the human behind CasiornThinks.

I work at the intersection of talent, strategy, and communication.

As a Recruitment Manager, I’ve spent my career helping organizations grow through better hiring, stronger teams, and clearer people decisions. My background spans recruiting, leadership, process improvement, and operations, but at the center of all of it is the same instinct: understanding people well, seeing patterns early, and building systems that actually support good work.

What I bring to that work is an unusual combination: the process discipline of a Certified Staffing Professional and Lean Six Sigma practitioner, paired with the instincts of someone who has always been more curious about why people make decisions than about simply tracking them. I was an English major before I was a recruiter. I write. I think in systems and in stories simultaneously, which means I can spot a broken workflow *and* write the handbook or proposal to fix it.

That dual orientation: analytical and humanistic, competitive and genuinely curious about people? It shows up in how I lead teams, how I engage candidates, and how I think about talent strategy. I don't believe in painless recruiting. I believe in honest recruiting: direct timelines, real feedback, and the kind of candor that earns trust faster than polish ever could. That approach has built some of my best professional relationships, and more than a few great hires.

Let’s connect if your work lives somewhere around talent, leadership, hiring, workplace culture, or the future of how we work.

Why CasiornThinks exists

AI discourse right now is… loud. Hype here, doom there, jargon everywhere. And honestly, it's easy to get overwhelmed even if you’re smart. So CasiornThinks is my attempt to offer one thing: clarity.

This blog (and the channel) is research-driven: I go to the primary sources — dense papers, benchmarks, real architectures — then translate them into calm, chalkboard-style explainers that you can actually repeat to someone else without sweating.

Serious AI. Explained Clearly. Not a slogan — a promise. šŸ˜„

My philosophy on AI (in one paragraph)

I’m not here to worship AI or fear it. I see it as a tool: sometimes automation (great for repetitive work), sometimes augmentation (supporting better decisions). The interesting questions live in the mechanisms: how it works, where it fails, and what that means for real life.

Thanks for being here! If you’ve ever felt “behind” on AI, you’re not — you just needed the right explanation. 🧠
